Note: I just submitted a review for this product on the main Marware site & thought to include it here on Amazon as well to guide any potential buyers. I love this case (month into use) and did a lot of research on a good armband before buying it so I hope it helps out in your decision!

Ok..I never rave about products unless they absolutely deserve it but this one goes above & beyond!
After researching for the right armband for my iPhone 4 on Amazon, it was an unpleasant surprise to read on many famous armband case manufacturer reviews that any armband with neoprene lining had at least one review with someone ending up having condensation inside the phone pouch & even wrecked phones!. That scared me right quick.
Needless to say, a company may replace your armband but NOT your phone and this is why my search led me to MARWARE'S AWESOME CASE as it provides excellent stability but NO contact with your arm and keeps your precious away from sweat!
Here are the Killer Uses you will LOVE this case for:
1) Excellent for the GYM-Easy to clip on/off:
This is a great function as sometimes I want to listen to music(clipped on arm)& other times watch a video podcast so I clip it to my treadmill/elliptical..other times I achieve a personal best and it's an easy clip off so I can take a quick pic of my stats on the treadmill machine.
2)Excellent Spacing of the case from the armband:
Even though there's distance enough to prevent any sweat contact, the case is so well designed that after slotting it in a specially designed holster it will not budge at all.
An additional benefit is being able to wrap extra cord length around the gap that is provided (this is really handy if you're running on a treadmill & don't want the cord flapping around).
3)Multi-Utility Clip & Stand -just use your imagination!
Well it goes without saying that with the strong clip you've got numerous ways to use it:
At the desk, in the gym, in the car on the sun visor/headrest covers, it even looks great on jeans with the clip over your front pocket and lastly, if you like to watch some youtube in the bathroom like me, just clip it on the towel hanging in front of you!(make sure it's secure!)..the list goes on and on!
The clip is so well made and sturdy you can clip it anywhere and the 360 degree rotation allows for even more fine tuning.
Additionally, the ability to fix the clip into 'stay-open' mode by a clever slot design allows you to have an iPhone stand in any direction after rotating to the appropriate angle. This means you do NOT have to spend money on some fancy stand to have handy by your bedside for alarm clock apps or when you want to watch long videos and prop it up somewhere.
4)Finally the finish deserves mention:
I actually had leather cases and some really expensive cases to show off my $$$ phone with a complementary case and not some cheapo and I really didn't think this 'gym case' will look as great as it does. It has a very smooth matte finish with excellent materials so the look is smooth and the fitting of the case is perfect with no unsightly gaps or finishing defects that you may expect with 3rd party cases.
I have actually stopped using my other cases & sold them all on ebay now.
I hope this comprehensive review helps..it really rocks and has no parallel..the fact that Marware provides lifetime warranty (check site for full details) was a deal sealer for me

If I were to rate this product in a vacuum, purely as product that allows you to easily exercise (in my case run and cycle) then I would give it 5 stars. It has the following benefits:
* The casing fits snuggly without fear it will pop open
* The clip on the back is a very sturdy/thick plastic
* The spring in the clip is STRONG preventing the clip from ever accidentally opening
* The band is easy to put on your arm
* The band is comfortable
* When fastened properly, I'm not worried about the band coming off
* The phone (with the clipped case) clips easily into the band
* How it mounts keeps your phone completely away from arm moisture while still being very stable
* The space between the phone and the band lets you wrap your headphone jack conveniently around it to take up extra slack
in all, this is a very secure device that satisfied my need for an iPhone 4 band and mount for aggressive exercising (I'm an angry runner, I hate it, so I end up doing it as quickly as I can moving my arms aggressively and have never had an issue with even THINKING this thing will come off)
THE PROBLEM IS that I don't exercise in a vacuum. I use my iPhone all day and have to transfer my phone from my daily case into this exercise case. The actual case design is a three part design with a top edge wrap, a bottom edge wrap and a back panel. You slide the back panel (carefully) into the top edge wrap, and then try to align the bottom edge wrap into the top and back panel. I've gotten better at doing this quickly since I first purchased it, but it's NOT an easy process and makes transferring the device into your exercise device a bit labor intensive. Some people comment that they like the clip so much that they wear it around (I'm not one of them). I don't think it should deter you prom purchasing it, but I do think that the transfer process is more difficult than necessary and takes more time than I want to when I'm ready to head out on a hateful run.

Like others, I had the 3G SportShell convertible from Marware, and I loved it!
The design for the i4 is substantially similar, except it is cut and fit just right. The ability to effortlessly clip the phone onto an arm-band, then back to something you can clip onto a pocket or belt, is fantastic!
The case is hard and protective, but seems a little less substantial than the case for the 3G. Also, unlike the 3G case, there are no protective film covers for the front.
These small problems aside, I should point out I've tried several cases for my iPhones, and this is by far the most useful. You don't have to thread anything through anything to convert it to an armband, but at the same time the clip ensures that, as an armband, the phone is really secure.
Using the clip as a rotatable stand is just another innovative feature that suggests to me that Marware has some of the best design engineers in the business today. And, of course, if you don't like any of the extra features you can easily set it up as a basic and effective cover that will solve the hand-holding signal killer as well as protect against unfortunate wear-and-tear.
My only question is why this case is not more widely available. Although I imagine this is only a temporary problem. I highly recommend! Even above more expensive options.
Because phone cases are often prone to personal tastes, it'll help any buyer to carefully look at the functions and capabilities of various options before making a decision. But the multi-purpose ability of this case almost guarantees it will meet your needs in one form or another.

Actually a pretty decent case for an iPhone 4. I bought it looking for an arm-band / belt clip for the iphone 4. The case seems pretty sturdy. It does not have a protective screen on top of it on the touch screen of the iPhone 4. Very useful for runners who want to track their progress with running apps.

Great Sport Case and Stand... Forget about the Slim Factor Nov 27, 2010

I bought this case because I live in Canada and was having a tough time finding a sports band case specific to the iPhone 4 here. I chose this one because the retailer shipped to Canada and because Marware made the cut to be listed on Apple's site, so I figured they had to make decent stuff.
Overall I really like this case and I use it 100% of the time. Mind you this case had the appeal of turning into a slim bumper case when I bought it. That however never happens with me. The process of switching the case from using the slim rear shield to the one with the clip is a slightly annoying process. What makes it worse is that it inevitably peels your iPhone screen skin off while doing it.
I ended up leaving the phone itself with the clip always on. I have fallen in love with the clip, which turns into an instant stand. I had no idea how often I would end up using the stand feature. I use it all the time. The stand itself seems pretty durable and it seems like it should last me the life of the phone.
The case protected against two falls on hard surfaces. One time my phone tumbled down 5 wooden steps. No problem. Another time it slipped out of my pocket (I wasn't using the clip at that point). It fell onto aluminum entrance grates. No problem. That being said I would prefer if the case edges had a bit more of a soft feel to them on the outside. I wouldn't have minded a little bit of extra case thickness if it gave me a little bit more piece of mind.
I gotta say I really like the sport band implementation. It's a breeze to snap the case on and off the arm band. When I'm at the gym and I want to check something on the phone this is a time saver! Plus unlike other sports band where the phone slips into a pocket, this one clips onto the arm band. It makes all of the screens and controls readily accessible, unlike some cheap China arm bands I tried.
Between the iPhone 4's voice control and this sports band, my entertainment and convenience at the gym and during jogging has gone up 5 fold.
I recommend this case to anybody that is ready to forget about the slim case form and is willing to use this phone with the clip 100% of the time. If you genuinely plan on switching this case back and forth with another one, be warned.
